Over Memorial Day weekend, we headed down to Atlanta. It was about a 6 hour drive, which we realize is about the max for Maddox (and Evin and Kayla). In Atlanta we visited the world of Coca Cola (Kayla even let Maddox sample some of the 60+ soda varieties made by Coke from around the world). We also went to the Georgia Aquarium, where Maddox enjoyed seeing all the different marine life. It just so happened that the Braves were playing in town, so we also made it to a baseball game. They played the Blue Jays and won 4-3 in an exciting game! The weather was nice with just a few raindrops. Overall, it was a great trip!
On Monday, we concluded our Memorial Day weekend with a nice day at home, catching up on some sleep, grilling, and playing outside before beginning another week. Evin and Maddox went and bought fishing pools, and practiced casting in the back yard. Being the experienced fishermen that they are, it will be very interesting to see how this whole fishing experiment turns out...........We'll keep you posted.
Below are the photos from our trip to Atlanta. Click on the slide show to view them individually and to view the full screen slide show.
Hope everyone is doing well.

Spring Time!
Sorry it has been so long since our last post. We have vowed to do a better job keeping up with our blog...........
Springtime: We started spring with a trip to Asheville, NC over the Easter holiday. While there, we spent our time in its unique downtown area. We also spent a week in Kansas at the end of April. We visited Kansas City, Claflin, and Wichita, where Evin’s mom had heart surgery. She is recovering well and we are glad we were there to support her through it. Kayla had her dreams come true on mother’s day: she was wished a happy mother’s day by Oprah Winfrey. We attended Duke’s graduation where we saw and listed to her give the graduation address.
